Getting closer 32 weeks and counting!

Well hear I am today writing to all my fellow followers about baby Jacob.  Im 32 weeks as of yesterday and i can not believe how close I am getting to the end of this pregnancy.

So since the last time I have wrote  we have met the neonatologist and got a tour of the NICU.  This man i think gave me the most confidence that we have a survivor and he will be okay.  He said how good things look on Jacobs side he said he won't sugar coat we have a mountain to climb but our boy has a good size right lung and his developement looks great even though he has CDH!   It was a wonderful day when i met that man just how he talked to us made a world of difference. He showed us the NICU where our boy will call home for awhile.  Must admit it seemed very intense and over whelming but im sure as time goes on it will feel a little less scary.

I had new blood work done and i passed my glucose test but i found out im anemic boo.  But that is not the end of the world.  We go in for my MRI and another ultrasound next week to check on baby <3 I will admit that tube thing scares me so i hope i can handle this MRI hahaha Im sure i will live!

I just got over a bad lung infection but im getting back to myself except being over tired caused my body to swell like a balloon this week not fun !!!

Well im sure i will have more to say after all my tests next week i will update everyone then.  God bless and pray for my baby boy that the tests show hes doing good <3

January week 26-30

I know its bin awhile since i wrote a new blog message for everyone but here it goes.  The word CDH was honestly one of the hardest learning experiences of my life so far.  Those 3 letter will change our little family lives forever.  We pray alot these days that our Jacob will be the one of the survivors.  Even though our doctors seem very confident their is still risks and at times stomaching that makes us all sick and worried.  We have bin doing pretty good lately we try to be positive best we can.  Im slowly starting to get the baby room ready and honestly that is a hard task for me right now.  That may sound terrible but i fight with myself all the time when would be a good time to prepare for a baby thats future is very possibly taken from us.  But i know that preparing for him like any other baby is apart of the journey i need to take.  I know one day God will help me to understand why our family was chosen for this journey.  I just must give God time to show me.

January is the intense month of tests and specialists.  We met with a cardiologist on Monday who had a whole team watch a echo of my little guys heart.  Thank god our little guys heart looks good even though its on the right side of his body it was a major relief to here its growing and thriving under that stress. Next on the agenda this month is an MRI, meet NICU team and get a tour of the NICU, we will be meeting the specialist who will do baby Jacobs surgery, meet the team they have lined up for us, ultrasounds weekly and my lovely glucose test. Plus see my regular specialist i feel a bit over whelmed this month but i know they need to make sure everything is in order for little man.

Ive bin really worried about balancing everything lately.  Emma is only 2 and wont understand why moms at the hospital alot and it is breaking my heart to alter her life. I never expected when i got pregnant again i would be leaving Emma and Austin alot when the baby comes.  I know Austin 8 and hes a very understanding loving child and will be great.  He knows baby brother is sick and that he will need me to make it all better.  I just wish Emma was older to understand a bit better.  Yet i wanna keep her small forever im having a hard time letting go of her being my little baby.  I know this will make us stronger in the end i just gotta have faith.  Also i know i need to be strong and positive for Jacob but i do ask that ppl let me have my down points im only human and this is alot for our family to handle.  A good cry sometimes gives me more strength then pretending im okay all the time.

Scott has really bin my rock.  I am so blessed to have him as a husband.  He really has helped me from falling apart.  I know hes hurting too but his strength has really kept our lives from falling apart.  I know this is just the start of our journey with Jacob but i know we will be okay since we have each other. I asked him the other day if he every regrets having children with me since this has happened and we also lost a pregnancy before.  I love that he told me he wouldnt have it any other way.  I know i shouldnt have asked that but i guess i just needed to hear he didnt blame me for this.  I also know CDH at this time has know known cause.  But i think when these things happen a person just wants someone to blame even if that is themselves.

I already feel blessed that God chose me to be Jacobs mom. I love you my baby and we will soon meet <3
